't Zand

Via a typical North Holland floating raft bridge you reach the seventeenth-century village of 't Zand. Quietly situated on the wide canal and among the bulb fields that take on those fantastic colors every spring: pink, purple, red. Here you are never far from the coast (three kilometers) and the historic center of Schagen is also close by at five kilometers.

Just outside the village is the nearly four hundred year old duck decoy. Formerly a source of income, it is now a place to feel nature very close for a while. Especially in spring it is beautiful here when everything is in bloom and you can spy the countless birds from the observation hut.
