Across Sint Maartensbrug runs the annual Kunstroute Zijpe. The centuries-old church in the center of this polder village is the special exhibition space for various exhibits by professional artists. And while you are in Sint Maartensbrug, why not take a tour of the Zijperpolder? From north to south runs the rustic Grote Sloot canal, with villages like Burgerbrug, Schagerbrug and Oudesluis on either side. The last village was a landing place for VOC ships that chose the sea channel via the Marsdiep. The old lock can still be visited!
