Oudesluis

Oudesluis, this picturesque dike village was once the docking place for VOC ships. It was then located on the mudflat-like foothills of the Zuiderzee. Ships chose the Marsdiep for the sea channel. The old lock can still be visited! From Oudesluis, the sea is not far away. For a day at the beach, just grab your bike.

P.S: Did you know that there are still three mills in Oudesluis? From 1764, 1848 and 1896, respectively.
