West Frisian Market - Guest Day

Guest day outdoors.

1 p.m. - 3 p. m. Farmers' meal of 110 West Frisians in costume around the church in Market Square. These West Frisians in traditional 19th century regional costume participate in the traditional peasant meal consisting of: soup with chowder, grey peas with raisins and semolina pudding with berry juice to go. Of course, peasant boys and brandy are on the table.

During this original meal, shanty choir the "Scheepstuygh" will provide musical entertainment.

9 a.m. Harnessing and harnessing the horses in the Music Garden behind Museum Vreeburg.

9 a.m.-5 p.m. Book, curio and cream market on New Street.

10 a.m. West Frisians gather at the corner of New Low Side/Stationsweg (café Spoorzicht) for the parade.

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The tower on the Market Square can be climbed for a small fee, in the tower the exhibition; "Time goes fast" with many historical photos of West Frisian Folklore.

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Woodturner in the forge at Vreeburg Museum Farm.

10:45 a.m. Start of parade from the New Low Side.

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. N.H. Church in Market Square organ playing by Simon Schoon.

11:25 a.m. Performance by the children's dance group on the church platform in Market Square.

11:45 a.m. Children's bread meal in the Marketplace.

11:45 a.m. Performance by the West Frisian Dance Group on the church platform in Market Square.

12 p.m. - 1 p.m. The farrier shoes horses in front of Museum Farm Vreeburg on the Loet.

1:15 - 3 p.m. Skroifgroep Hoogwoud will perform in the coffee room of the NH Church in Market Square. They sing and tell anecdotes in beautiful unctuous West Frisian.
