Day of costumes.
Many delegations from all over the country display local or regional costumes including from Friesland, Groningen and North and South Holland. Around 100 guests will come from outside Schagen, but there may be more. The guests will be received at the Source and walk with the parade. For many the chance to see the costumes up close. The whole thing is expertly commented on. Nowhere in the Netherlands does an event of this magnitude take place. The costumes to be shown this year are from; Scheveningen, Volendam, Hindeloopen, Friesland, Huizen, Rijssen, Nunspeet and Enkhuizen.
The presentations are on the stage near the church.
Presentations are from 12:20-14:00 p.m.
After the costume show, the groups will take part in an open-air bread meal in the Market Square , which will be around 2 p.m.
9 a.m. Harnessing and harnessing the horses in the Music Garden behind Museum Vreeburg.
9 a.m.-3 p.m. Book, curio and cream market on New Street.
10 a.m. West Frisians gather at the corner of New Low Side/Stationsweg (café Spoorzicht) for the parade.
10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The tower on the Market Square can be climbed for a small fee, in the tower the exhibition; "Time goes fast" with many historical photos of West Frisian Folklore.
10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Woodturner in the forge at Museum Vreeburg.
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. N.H. Church in Market Square organ playing by Jacob Stam.
10:45 a.m. Start of parade from the New Low Side.
11:25 a.m. Children's dance group performance on the church platform in Market Square.
11:45 a.m. Children's bread meal in the Marketplace.
11:45 a.m. Performance West Frisian dance group on church platform in Market Square.
12 p.m. - 1 p.m. The farrier shoes horses in front of Museum Farm Vreeburg on the Loet.
12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. Show of costumes on the stage by the church.
1:15 - 3:00 p.m. Skroif group Veenhuizen in the coffee room of the church on Market Square. They sing and tell anecdotes in beautiful unctuous West Frisian.
2 p.m. - 3 p.m. Outdoor lunch in the Marketplace of all participants of the costume show.
